Lake Spivey Golf Academy will assist you in developing a golf game based on basic fundamentals for long lasting enjoyment.  Our PGA Golf Instructors believe that there is not just one swing for every player, because every player has different physical attributes, limitations, and abilities.  Therefore, they will fit a golf swing to the player that will produce a consistent ball flight.

Jeffery D. Biggers, PGA was appointed Head Golf Professional at Lake Spivey Golf Club in March, 2010.

Bio:  Born and raised in Salisbury, NC where he was taught the game at a young age by his grandparents.  Graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Financial Management.  Mr. Biggers began his golfing career at Lochmere Golf Club and then assisted in the opening of the Arnold Palmer-designed Oak Valley Golf Club, both of which were managed by the Carolinas Golf Group in Raleigh, NC.  After obtaining PGA membership in 2000, he has held positions at Bermuda Run Country Club, Sapona Country Club, and Ashley Plantation.

Philosophy:  When it comes to the game of golf, I believe it can be learned by all who have the desire to learn and the ability to achieve.  It is a game that can be enjoyed on many levels whether it is in competition or a friendly afternoon game.  As an instructor, it is my job to create a desire and enjoyment without making the game seem to complex or difficult.  It is also my job to teach my students to the best of my ability and also be a friend, someone my students can depend on when needed.

Derrick Ayers, PGA Apprentice has been the Assistant Golf Professional for Lake Spivey for three years, is an accomplished player, and has been fully certified with Digital Video Technology and Analysis.  He has a very keen eye, excellent knowledge of the golf swing, and can assist in accelerating a students progress.
